My Sunday Photo – Winter Panoramas

With Friday’s reminder that the excellent Epson International Pano Awards are now taking early bird entries, I have had panoramas on the mind! Obviously, I’m not exactly Pano Award Standard, but us amateur photographers can dream! I took some time out of today’s family beach adventure to try and capture some winter panoramas.

Winter Panoramas

Sadly, as usual the DSLR stayed at home. That’s just the way it is when wrangling a toddler and a preschooler out of the house for a quick play in the sand.

Fortunately, the trusty Nokia 7.2 puts out some pretty decent photos. I used its wide-angle lens, which often gets a pretty bad wrap in reviews. I’m reasonably impressed with the results, all things considered. It is a bit soft around the edges, but overall it still surprises me how much amazingness can be squeezed out of mid-range phone cameras these days! Needless to say there has been a fair amount of processing to get the best out of the snaps, but there would be with my DSLR photos too.

For those wondering… Yes, it is the middle of winter in Australia (hence the puffy jacket). Yes, the feet still found their way in for a paddle.

As always on a Sunday, I’m linked up to the excellent #MySundayPhoto linky. It’s hosted by Darren ColeshillI highly recommend you click on the link (or the badge below) and check out everyone’s photos.

Loving the silhouette of the final image. The Nokia is performing pretty well I’d say. And if you don’t entr the competition, you’ll never know! Best of luck.

Love these photos, personally, I prefer the jetty/pier in the centre of the photo. Getting entering the competition

What gorgeous photos! My favourite is the last one. A puffa jacket but still can’t resist taking the shoes off to have a paddle. hehehe

Good luck with the competition, reminds me of several British beaches where the pier is rarely in the water as the tide is always out #mysundayphoto

I wouldn’t have guessed these were camera photos. I like the effect of the beach and the concrete structures. Lovely spot to take pics.

What gorgeous panoramic views. They are gorgeous and so bright. The silhouette one at the end is stunning. x
