Microsoft Flight Simulator – Pre Order and Release Date News

Exciting news, flight sim fans! Microsoft have just opened pre-orders for the most highly anticipated game of 2020 – Microsoft Flight Simulator! Sit back and take a few moments to soak up this stunning release video, then head on over to the Microsoft website and secure your pre order.

Disclosure: This update mentions products that have been provided to Blog of Dad free of charge.

Microsoft Flight Simulator – Pre Order Now

Even better is the news that Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to touchdown soon, on the 18th August, 2020! After what has seemed like an extremely long flight, Flight Simulator is actually coming in to land much earlier than I had anticipated!

Pre orders on the Microsoft website are now open for three different digital download versions, so you won’t have to wait to clear customs (…okay, I’ll stop with the aviation analogies now).

There will be a standard version with “20 highly detailed planes with unique flight models and 30 hand-crafted airports”. It can be pre-ordered for $99.95.

A Deluxe Edition will cost $139.95 and adds “5 additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and 5 additional handcrafted international airports” to the content of the standard version.

Finally, a Premium Deluxe Edition adds an additional “10 additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and 10 additional handcrafted international airports” over the Deluxe version. The Premium Deluxe Edition will cost $179.95

Microsoft have confirmed that the standard version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available via Xbox Game Pass for PC, which is excellent (although not unexpected). With an introductory price of just $4.95 per month, Xbox Game Pass is a great way to try before you buy (not to mention the access to over 100 other PC games).

Remember, Microsoft Flight Simulator is a visual masterpiece and you will want to ensure that your PC is up to the task before the release date. You don’t want to be grounded on the tarmac with technical difficulties while everyone else is cleared for takeoff (sorry, it happened again).

As far as I’m concerned, there has never been a better excuse for an upgrade to 32GB of PNY XLR8 RAM and the glorious PNY GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER! It is also a good idea to check your free disk space and drop in an XLR8 SSD If things are a little tight on your current SSD. Check out the specifications below:
