My Sunday Photo – City2Surf

Today was the day that I had been waiting for, the City2Surf!

There will be a more detailed recount coming soon, but for now I’ll share a few photos that I managed to snap along the way.

The 2018 City2Surf

The Red (bloody fast) Group, just before the start of the race

We’re off! So many people.

It was about here that my knee went bung, so I had to stop running and hobble my way to the end. Gave me time to take some happy snaps!

The atmosphere was incredible! So much entertainment all along the route.

I had an incredible day, even though I didn’t quite realise my goal of running the full 14km. One thing is for sure, this experience has just made me want to do it all again next year. The City2Surf is an absolutely brilliant event and one that I’d recommend to anyone!

As always on a Sunday, I’m linked up to the excellent #MySundayPhoto linky. It’s hosted by Darren Coleshill on the website Photalife. I highly recommend you click on the link (or the badge below) and check out everyone’s photos.

If you want to see more photos from me, head over to the Blog of Dad Instagram page.

Hi James, looking at these photos bring back the feeling I got when we did the Athens marathon. We had a 2km walk to the start from where the buses dropped us and it was just everyone trundling along, some having fun, some more serious, but all of us a little nervous /excited… So what if you had to walk a little, you did it and that is the best feeling of all! Well done!
