My Sunday Photo – Botany Bay Sunrise

My Sunday Photo post for this week is of a brilliant Botany Bay Sunrise!

I had headed down to Botany Bay in search of Sydney’s flattest running track, which you can read all about in my Do Amazing Things (The 10 Kilometre Run) post.

After my run, I was fortunate enough to catch this stunning scene. The cranes of Port Botany were perfectly positioned, right in front of the rising sun. There was also some helpful cloud cover in the sky above.

Photographing this scene was the perfect way to relax after a long morning run.

Oh yes, some superb backlighting contributing to those photos. Just shows photography can be a matter of being in the correct place at the correct time. Very dramatic images and brings back memories of the Australian sun set which is second to none, I can only assume because of your nation’s geographical position. #mysundayphoto

WOW Your Botany Bay is completely different to the one in Lancashire, UK. (Google it – you won’t be disappointed). OK OK, maybe you will. 😉 #MySundayPhoto

How wonderful, I love sunrise but struggle to get up in time, funnily enough I’m on holiday this week and did go for a run as the sun came up.

I spent about half an hour there. By then I had cooled down from my run and realised how freezing it was.
