A Quiet Place
The My Sunday Photo link up used to be one of my favourite parts of the week. People from all over the globe shared interesting photos from their week. It was a great little community, but all good things must come to an end I guess. Still, that shouldn’t stop me from sharing some of my favourite photos, every now and then! I took this one in January, but it was only today that I thought about the old My Sunday Photo linkup. My photo today is titled: A Quiet Place
I took this photo after an early morning Cronulla run. The 4.30 am alarm was worth it. After a slow, but enjoyable 6 kilometers, I grabbed the camera out of the car and headed off to find a solitary place. After a short and slightly hairy climb down a small cliff-face, I stumbled upon this spot. It was a great place to set up, capture a few photos, enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the sunrise!
It was one of my first opportunities to take my new Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 lens out for some landscape photography. This lens was a replacement for my kit Nikkor 18-55mm, that had begun doing some funny things. It was money well spent! I picked the Tamron up as a bargain, 2nd hand on Ebay.
