With a family-filled Easter long weekend, I haven’t had much time to get the camera out. So instead I’m heading back to last year’s Japan trip for some inspiration. My Sunday photo for this week comes from the most incredible train station I have ever seen – Kyoto Station.
There’s only one thing to do when the early autumn weather is this perfect – head to the park! That’s what we did yesterday, and we had a great time. Hannah likes the play equipment, but what she really enjoys doing is exploring the natural elements of the park. The birds and flowers both caught our attention this week.
My Sunday Photo for this week is Titled Grey-headed Flying Fox
A lot of people are creeped out by these little beauties, but if you ask me, the grey-headed flying fox is a wonderful creature. Sure, they can carry disease and can be very noisy in a large colony, but they also do a whole load of good for the environment. The grey-headed flying fox is a key player in promoting biodiversity and cross-pollination.
My Sunday Photo for this week is titled Build Something
One of my favourite things to do with Hannah is build things with Duplo. The older she is, the more interested she is becoming in the wonderful plastic blocks. Her imagination seems to run wild when she plays with the contraptions we build.
Hannah’s Duplo collection is quite substantial and one of our favourite challenges is to use all of the blocks from the various sets to build a house of fun. Each time we do this, we come up with an amazing and completely different design. Hannah will then sit for hours and explore every nook and cranny of the structure.
